Brown SWCD is now accepting tree orders for the 2019 planting season.
Order deadline is Wednesday, February 27, 2019 or until stock is depleted. Trees are sold on a first come, first served basis. We have several hardwood and conifers available. Click the links below for an order form and information sheet on the trees offered.
NOTE: Be sure to check with the SWCD office prior to purchasing trees if you intend to plant within CREP, RIM, or similar conservation program lands. Approval must be given before trees can be planted within these areas.
TREE PLANTING IS AVAILABLE THIS YEAR!
The Brown SWCD is again offering a tree planting service for trees purchased through the district. Tree planting is not available on potted trees. The cost for tree planting for 2019 is 50¢ per tree or a $100 minimum, whichever is greater, for in-county plantings. For out-of-county plantings, the cost is 50¢ per tree or a $150 minimum, whichever is greater, plus mileage to and from the planting site. The landowner provides a tractor and driver, and the district will provide the tree planter and 2 staff to plant trees. Simply indicate on your order form if you would like the tree planting service. Sales Tax does not apply to your purchase if you choose planting services. Staff will coordinate with you next spring to set up a date for the planting and advise what site preparations are necessary.
SPECIAL ORDER TREES & SHRUBS MAY BE AVAILABLE!
Don’t see the specific species of tree or shrub that you are interested in? Just give us a call. We have a number of species available to us that are not listed on our tree order form. A variety of tree sizes are also available. Special order trees may only be available in certain quantities depending on species and size and prices may vary.
Please stop by or call our office with any questions you have regarding the 2019 Tree Program.
