Don’t Miss Women Caring for the Land Workshops in Shakopee, New Ulm

Sustainable Farming Association and Renewing the Countryside are hosting two workshops, “Women Caring for the Land,” which focus on improving conservation outreach to female farmland owners and farmers in Minnesota, either directly or through training agriculture and conservation professionals.

The first is Wed., May 29, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Shakopee Library, 235 Lewis St, Shakopee. Presenters include Ann Marie Journey, NRCS Soil Health Coordinator ACES; Diann Korbel, Scott County SWCD Ag Program Specialist; and Danielle Isaacson, MN Ag Water Quality Certification Program. REGISTER.

The second is Thurs., May 30, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Dept. of Natural Resources, 21371 MN Hwy 15, New Ulm. Speakers include Jennifer Hahn, Minnesota Soil Health Coalition Coordinator; Melanie Krueger, Brown County SWCD District Manager; Danielle Isaacson, MN Ag Water Quality Certification Program; and attorney Kate Graham of Fafinski, Mark & Johnson. This event is co-sponsored by New Ulm League of Women Voters. REGISTER.
