Rain Gauge Program

Every time moisture falls, a team of faithful rain gauge readers across Brown County measures the precipitation and forwards the information on a monthly basis to the Brown SWCD.  The District coordinates the data and provides it to the State Climatology Office at the University of Minnesota where it is entered into a database for various studies and uses.  Visit the University of Minnesota State Climatology Office website at www.climate.umn.edu.
