Tree Program
ABOUT THE TREE PROGRAM
Brown SWCD participates in an annual tree program. Several hardwood and conifer species, both bare root and potted, are available for conservation purposes. The trees are secured from private nurseries at wholesale rates for our customers and should be used for agricultural purposes such as farmstead windbreaks, field windbreaks and wildlife plantings. District staff will assist landowners to the best of our ability with planning, spacing and questions regarding the best suited species for your soil types and growing conditions.
If you are interested in ordering trees from us next year and are not already on our mailing list, then contact our office at 507-794-2553 to be added to the list. Notification of the 2025 Tree Sales Program will go out in mid-to-late December.
